I adored this whole session and these sweet baby girls. First of all, let me just say that I always find myself in awe of families with twins or triplets when I have the pleasure of photographing them. I don’t think it is a coincidence that in my experience, they all seem to have this calm and collected way about them right from the start and a knack for being steps ahead of whatever the conspiring little babies have planned. Maybe it’s because as one mom to twin boys once told me, parents to twins learn quickly to roll with the punches as a matter of survival. Their hands are quite literally always full and perhaps they learn sooner than the rest of us that a good sense of humor might be the secret to parenting.
Amanda and Jennie were referred to me because Amanda is the nanny to Fiona and Caroline, another beautiful set of twins that I’ve been lucky enough to photograph several times. Often twins arrive a little early so I kept eagerly checking my email and waiting to hear that their girls had arrived but they decided to take their time and were actually born right around their due date.
Alexandria and Vienna aren’t identical but are equally beautiful and too turns snoozing peacefully and occasionally letting out a squawk here or there. Both girls were quite content to be passed back and forth between their mothers who made this whole twin thing look like a cakewalk and who made me ever so grateful for this pretty fabulous gig I’ve got, taking pictures of the purest kinds of love.
Amanda McDonaldIt was such a pleasure working with you, thank you so much!
