Ayla

I first met Chrystal and Ben when I did maternity pictures for Chrystal late last winter. We had the session on the grounds of Somerville High School, their old alma mater. Then I got to meet Ayla when I took her newborn photos last spring and somehow, the year has flown by already and she’s turning 1. We met at the Prospect Hill monument in Somerville on what started off as a mild, partly sunny morning but in typical New England fashion, it rapidly deteriorated into a blustery and raw kind of day.  Ayla was a trouper though and was generous with the smiles right up until the end, by which point even I was shivering. Happy first birthday to Ayla and cheers to Ben and Chrystal for surviving the first year of parenthood!
