The fall season has already kicked off and it’s the time of year when most sessions (other than newborn sessions) happen someplace outdoors, rather than in the home. Wardrobes are carefully considered, vibrant foliage is highly desired and the quest for the perfect holiday card or framed prints for holiday gifts is in full swing. There’s a lot that I love about fall sessions and it’s always fun to see familiar faces year after year and see how everyone has changes against the stunning backdrop of autumn in New England.
All of that said, I’m so glad that one of my last sessions for August was something entirely different and another kind of session that is dear to my heart. As the son of an incredible photographer (http://www.channingjohnson.com) Ellis leads a life that is no doubt well documented. I had the pleasure however of spending some time with Ellis and his parents at home and capturing them all together, doing the things you do in summer at home when you are almost 4: inhaling ice cream, splashing in kiddie pools and sometimes just strutting around the place like you own it.
