Nina and Sophia

I first met Aryn and Angelo in the summer for a maternity session in the North End and in the waterfront area as they were eagerly awaiting the arrival of twins. Then I photographed Aryns’s gorgeous baby shower in the early fall and finally got to meet and photograph the beautiful Nina and Sophia when they made their grand entrance shortly before Christmas. So I was thrilled to hear from Aryn again this month about photographing the girls on the day of their Christening.

Having met some of their family at the shower, I already knew what a fun and loving group they are and I also knew that there would be lots of people (including me!) melting at the sight of the 4 month old girls in their gorgeous Christening gowns. Sure enough, I arrived to a house full of people bustling about and all hands were on deck for the task of waking, feeding, diapering and dressing Nina and Sophia for their big day and I was so glad to be there to capture it. Whether it’s a shower, a birthday or anniversary party or a baptism, there is a lot to be said for leaving your camera behind and trusting someone else to document the day while you live it and soak up every minute without distraction. I’m so honored to have been a part of this family’s special day and loved capturing moments that I hope the twins will enjoy seeing years from now. Here are a few favorites:
