Riley & Jack

Kate contacted me to schedule a family photo session about 6 weeks after she had a new baby boy, Jack who joined big sister Riley. The session took place on April 1st and it’s a good thing that the plan was always for a cozy session inside the home because as it turned out, the April’s Fool’s Day joke was on us and it was actually snowing.

Jack was 8 weeks old when we met up and had a whole range of silly faces and big smiles that he was happy to demonstrate. Riley was a bit shy at first but I’m so glad that she warmed up too and we got to see her beautiful smile and some pretty awesome drum playing too! Despite the fact that it was far from a sunny day, we were lucky to have beautiful light and though I’m glad that we’re finally done with the snow, it was kind of pretty falling outside of the windows while we were snug and warm inside.
